Give and receive feedback without leaving Slack
WorkStory works best inside the tools your team already uses. Connect Slack and WorkStory sends review requests, feedback prompts, and reminders straight into a private direct conversation with the WorkStory app — no public channel, nothing visible to anyone but the recipient.
- Receive and complete review and feedback requests in Slack.
- Open the relevant WorkStory record from the conversation when you need more context.
- Everything you submit lands in WorkStory immediately, ready for AI-assisted review summaries.
Proactive feedback with /give-feedback
Many teams run WorkStory almost entirely through Slack, so we made proactive feedback a slash command. Type /give-feedback anywhere in your workspace, pick a teammate, write the note, choose who can see it, and submit — without opening the web app.
Connecting Slack
An administrator connects the workspace once, either from the Slack Marketplace or from Settings → Add to Slack inside WorkStory. Each team member then sets Slack as their preferred communication option. If your workspace requires admin approval for new apps, submit the request through your normal Slack approval process.
Private by design
The connection is limited to a direct chat between each person and WorkStory. Managers, admins, and teammates can't read it. Feedback visibility is still controlled by the choices the giver makes in WorkStory, not by where the message was delivered.
