What you can ask
WorkStory MCP is permission-aware, so every answer is grounded in the feedback, reviews, and goals the person asking is already allowed to see. That makes it useful at every level of the organization:
- HR and People teams — track engagement over time, build a quarterly org-health snapshot, spot managers who need coaching support, or draft a structured performance improvement plan from someone's actual feedback history.
- Managers — prepare for a 1:1 in minutes, or turn months of recognition and scope growth into an evidence-backed promotion case.
- Employees — see your own growth story over time, turn a recurring feedback theme into a development plan, or build your case for a raise or promotion from real examples.
How it works
WorkStory MCP is a Model Context Protocol server. Once connected, Claude can query your WorkStory workspace on your behalf — pulling the relevant feedback, review summaries, and goals into the conversation so you can ask follow-up questions, compare periods, and export the result as a plan, a summary, or a presentation outline.
- Access follows WorkStory's existing permissions. Nobody sees data through Claude that they couldn't see in WorkStory.
- Answers cite the underlying feedback rather than inventing it.
- Works alongside your existing Claude workspace; nothing about your day-to-day setup changes.
Getting started
WorkStory MCP is available to WorkStory customers. Ask your account manager to enable it, then add the WorkStory connector in Claude. New to WorkStory? See the MCP overview or book a walkthrough.
